The "Belle of the Ball"
At the recent CTAA show in Providence Rhode Island, Turtle Top rolled back the clock with the official release of the Odyssey "in step" UVL and wowed participants. Old timers remember when Turtle Top ruled the market with the UVL, a product hidden between the top step and the vehicle floor. Since then the UFL has been obseleted by the manufacturer based on the stringent FMVSS 403/404 laws leaving a gaping hole in the marketplace. In an attempt to regain those customers looking for a hidden lift, engineers here designed a bottom step mounted UVL, using the battle tested 855SM. What makes this different from the other attempts in the industry is the step height. Chassis equipment makes it impossible to mount the lift higher and get proper ground clearance. Other attmpts at this configuration leave the lift just inches from the pavement. The Odyssey UVL is a comfortable 12" to first step, keeping the uniformity our customers expect and eliminating the problematic solutions that may be out there already.
