Green Initiatives
We at Independent Protection/Turtle Top feel it is our responsibility to do what is in our power to help control waste that can potentially harm our Environment. Furthermore we feel it necessary to invest financially in the growth of alternative products designed to help us in this goal in both the Lightning Protection and Commercial Bus fields.
To accomplish these goals we have established relationships with industry professionals that aid us in compliance with the Federal and State Departments of Energy, Water and Soil Preservation. We have on staff a compliance specialist responsible for reporting and educating our staff and our associates to ensure our Green advancement. Executives from our companies serve on committees and associations designed to advance technology and educate others on the importance of preservation. In every area of our facilities we have evaluated and set goals for recycling everything from office and personal goods to large quantity production materials. Our company is proud to be proactive on items that may need our attention or that require eventual compliance or action.
Our Turtle Top division, manufacturer of Commercial Bus Products and Specialty Buses has dedicated resources to the development of our dedicated alternative fuels vehicles. The Odyssey Hybrid developed with industry leader Azure Dynamics features a Gasoline/Electric Hybrid Power plant on the Ford E-450 Chassis. In addition Turtle Top has additional partnerships with other Chassis Manufacturers and their associates to complete a fleet of vehicles less dependant on conventional fuels. The goal of vehicle engineers and executives is to advance our business as technology advances and continue to lead our industry. We feel as consumers and business managers it is our responsibility to place the protection of what God has given us to use and protect a priority.
